Pro-Life
Join Fr. Peter and other parishioners at the Aanchor Clinic on Saturdays, from 8:00am-9:30am each week.

Dear Friends for Life,

Thank you for taking the time to check out this respect life link of Christ the King.  I hope that as you open this sight that you begin your time with this prayer.

The information given will be of help to you, so that you will be informed and pass the good news along.  The good news may not always be pleasing to hear for all God people.  We are the voice of the child in the womb who is not given a voice, the elderly person whose voice is not always heard.  Let us be the hands of Christ and defend all that is precious in His sight.  As Pastor of this community, I am also a member of the Diocesan pro life action committee.  Please feel free to bring a question to us.  Also, join others in the Reverence for Life community at Christ the King.  Would you like to be part of the team?  We would love to have you come to the Reverence for Life Holy Hour on the fourth Thursday of every month. 7 – 8 pm.

Saturdays at 8 am join parishioners of the diocese at the Aanchor abortion clinic, on Roosevelt Rd across from the Toyota dealer.  Thank  you on behalf of Bishop Peter and the Diocesan Pro life office for your continued prayers and sacrifices for the cause of Life.  If you have any questions, please email me at FrPeter@ctklombard.org.

Dignitas Personae, Vatican Instruction on

Bioethics, Welcomed for Guidance on

Issues of Procreation, Medical Research

Dignitas Personae (The Dignity of a Person), an Instruction from the Vatican Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF) on ethical issues arising from biomedical research, provides guidance on how to respect human life and human procreation in our heavily scientific age, said Cardinal Francis George of Chicago, president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.

"We welcome the Instruction as theologians, medical personnel, researchers and married couples consider new scientific and medical procedures that have profound ethical implications bearing upon the procreation of children and the integrity of marriage," Cardinal George said in a December 12 statement. "We applaud developments which advance medical progress with respect for the sanctity of human life from the moment of conception," he said. "We oppose discarding or manipulating innocent lives to benefit future generations, or promoting the creation of new human life in depersonalized ways that substitute for the loving union between a husband and wife."

A Pro-Life Prayer For Our President And Public Officials

Lord God, Author of Life and Source of Eternal Life,

Move the hearts of all our public officials and especially our President, to fulfill their responsibilities worthily and well to all those entrusted to their care.

Help them in their special leadership roles, to extend the mantle of protection to the most vulnerable, especially the defenseless unborn, whose lives are threatened with extermination by an indifferent society.

Guide all public officials by your wisdom and grace to cease supporting any law that fails to protect the fundamental good that is human life itself, which is a gift from God and parents.

You are the Protector and Defender of the lives of the innocent unborn. Change the hearts of those who compromise the call to protect and defend life. Bring our nation to the values that have made us a great nation, a society that upholds the values of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all.

Mary, the Mother of the living, help us to bear witness to the Gospel of Life with our lives and our laws, through Christ, Our Lord.

Amen.

Imprimatur:
