Worthy of special respect and praise in the Church are the laity, single or married, who, in a definitive way or for a period, put their person and their professional competence at the service of institutions and their activities" (Decree on the Apostolate of Lay People, Chapter IV, #22)

Stewardship is a complete lifestyle, a life of total accountability and responsibility acknowledging God as Creator and Owner of all. Stewardship is responsible management of our God-given resources of time, talent, and treasure. It enhances our relationships with God and one another. Stewardship is living out a commitment to be Christ-centered rather than self-centered and involves a conversion of the heart. Stewardship is a lifelong journey with each person at a different place on the path.

The Stewardship of Treasure invites us to see our financial resources as gifts from God and asks us to make a response based on our being grateful. The more we are aware of being blessed, the more we want to express our gratitude. This is the heart of stewardship.

There are many opportunities available to members of Christ the King Catholic Church to participate in our ongoing stewardship program. Use our website to browse through the many ministries and help you in selecting programs and activities in which you may wish to give of your "Time and Talent". The work of our parish commissions and service organizations has been described in our site under their separate links. There you will find many volunteer opportunities available within these commissions and organizations.

After you have had an opportunity to review these programs and activities, please contact the staff representative for each program in which you would like to participate. The chairperson of the commission or organization will contact you if your time or talents are required.

Christ the King Parish is very fortunate to have a great number of programs and activities which enhance the spiritual and temporal well being of our parish and our community. We ask you to consider giving a portion of your "Time, Talent and Treasure" to your church and community.

Stewardship:
  1. Recognizes everything we have as a gift from God

  2. Calls forth praise and gratitude

  3. Has us desiring to make a grateful response

  4. Invites us to give a percentage of our income to the Church

  5. Has us following through on our commitment

Please give prayerful consideration to increasing the percentage and/or amount of your financial support of Christ the King using the weekly envelopes to help keep us focused on Stewardship.

If you would like to contribute to Offertory via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) please print, fill out, and return the EFT FORM to the church. FAQ's about EFT transactions are included in the file.

Matthew 6:31-33: So do not worry and say, 'What are we to eat?' or 'What are we to drink?' or 'What are we to wear?' All these things the pagans seek. Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom (of God) and his righteousness, and all these things will be given you besides. Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself. Sufficient for a day is its own evil.

Luke 12:33-34: Sell your belongings and give alms. Provide money bags for yourselves that do not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven that no thief can reach nor moth destroy. For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be.

1 Peter 4:9-11: Be hospitable to one another without complaining. As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God's varied grace. Whoever preaches, let it be with the words of God; whoever serves, let it be with the strength that God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Philippians 4:19-20: My God will fully supply whatever you need, in accord with his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father, glory forever and ever. Amen.
