Saint Vincent DePaul Society Food Pantry

Success Never Felt So Good

We at the St Vincent DePaul/Christ the King didn’t know what to expect when we decided to run our own food drive a few weeks ago.   We didn’t expect the generous donations of all that we asking for and really needed.

The parishioners of Christ the King as well as our Etz Chaim and other neighbors came through for us!   Our shelves are stocked and we received cash & gift cards that will be shared with our clients.  We didn’t expect much, but we received so much more than we could have imagined.

A thank you goes out to each of you who gave what you could just to help us out.  Your donations help the less fortunate and needy in our community.  We appreciate you more than we can say with words.

Thank you for your generosity & God bless you.

Volunteers @ SVDP/CTK Food Pantry

Dear CTK Parishioners and friends of our SVDP Food pantry,

We were overwhelmed today at the out-pouring of generosity for the pantry and our clients.  We held our first ever food drop off today and are looking forward to next Wednesday’s final date.  The number of people from our parish, our neighboring synagogue, and Lombard residents who stopped by and dropped off food and monetary donations to us was extraordinary.  The food pantry will continue to successfully serve its clients during this coronavirus crisis because of these collections.  Never would we have imagined this many people helping out. The cars kept coming steadily between 10-noon and we were very busy.  Please know you helped hundreds of people today who are in need during the crisis.  So thank you for today’s contributions and hope to see others next Wednesday.
