This is a subtitle for your new post
This Wednesday, February 11, we remember Our Lady of Lourdes. It is also World Day of the Sick. We are encouraged to pray to the Blessed Mother for any kind of healing for ourselves or for others. We know of the powerful healings that have taken place at Lourdes. I would encourage you to pray for whatever healing you may need in a special way this Wednesday.
The Blessed Mother has many titles. Mary, the Mother of God, gives each of us hope as she comes to us as she is—holy and loving. We look at how she said yes to God’s plan, and then gave birth to Jesus. Looked after him and was there at the time of his death. Mary understands many things, and is perhaps a saint we can all identify with. Mary carried the author of life within her. She gives life to us. May we deepen our relationship with the Blessed Mother, knowing she is not far away; rather she is quite near.
Lent begins on Wednesday, February 18. Now is a good time to think about what you would like to do “special” for the Lenten Season.
Peace………Fr. Jeff
