This is a subtitle for your new post
Monday, February 2, is The Presentation of the Lord. Some will also call this day Candlemas or “little Christmas”. Like Epiphany, Jesus is showing himself to the world. He is presented in the temple. Jesus, the Son of God is the light of the world. May we always remember to keep the light of the world ever before us. Many things will try to pull us away.
Tuesday, February 3, we remember St. Blaise, bishop and martyr. St. Blaise is a good saint to pray for when we are in need of physical healing. Many associate St. Blaise with the throat; but he is also an intercessor for other kinds of ailments we may have. Perhaps if you are in need of healing, pray to St. Blaise.
Friday, February 6, Bishop Hicks will be installed as Archbishop of New York. This is historic for not only New York, but for our own Diocese of Joliet. Bishop’s parents and family still reside here in our Diocese. This occasion reminds us that we are connected to the universal church. We are blessed because of our Catholic faith.
Peace…….Fr. Jeff
