From the Pastor's Desk...

Wednesday, June 24, is the Nativity of St. John The Baptist. John was the cousin of Jesus, and was the one who always pointed to Jesus. Because John led a very different life; one that was holy and humble, many thought he was the Messiah. John would tell them, no, he was not. He would remind people that one mightier and greater was to come. As we look at the holy family, the cousin of Jesus played a very important part in the history of our beginning as a church. How might we point to Jesus for others? John had a good message for us all—be prepared! As faithful followers of Christ, we are to always be prepared to meet Christ.  We are so very blessed with our Catholic faith.

A good, happy Fathers Day to all of our fathers! May we remember to pray for our fathers, living and deceased. Our dads who are busy raising families, taking care of so many things that are vital to a good, happy, healthy family. Perhaps we want to remember St. Joseph who was the father for Jesus here on earth. Jesus had this man in his life who not only taught him many things; but St. Joseph was simply “there” for Jesus in whatever our young Lord may have needed. May God bless all fathers in their vocation as being a “dad”.

 Peace……..Fr. Jeff
