From the Pastor's Desk - 11/8/2026

We have entered the month of November with 2 important days on the Church calendar—All Saints and All Souls. With these special days, the church encourages us to visit the cemetery of our loved ones. It is especially good to do, in this part of the country, the weather will soon be getting cold, wet and snowy—not good weather to go out into a cemetery! We recognize that all life is sacred. When we lose someone in this life, they gain new life with Jesus in the Kingdom. Let us remember to pray for them.

Montini Catholic High School is right here! Last week they had an open house for new students. They will be having placement exams in the first part of December. If you are interested in Montini, please be aware that time for next Fall is already approaching for enrollment. I always enjoy going to Montini.

As a reminder, there is a get-together for those preparing to make their first confession. A First Reconciliation Retreat morning will take place for the children and one or both of their parents on November 14, from 9:00-11:00 at Ascension, Oakbrook Terrace. All children preparing for First Communion must make their first confession before then.
