From the Pastor's Desk - 12/28/2025

   Merry Christmas to you! I hope these last few days as we begin the Christmas season in the church, have been good and holy for you. A great time to look at your relationship with Jesus, the Christ Child in the manger, who comes and changes the world. He not only changes the world, but gives each of us hope! May you know the hope that comes to us from Jesus. May you also share that hope with those who may desperately need it.

    This weekend in Christmas, we are once again reminded the importance of the family. We think of the Holy Family this weekend. Jesus, Mary and Joseph. But we may also want to think of Mary’s parents, Anne and Joachim. Or the cousin of Jesus, John the Baptist. There is no mistake, that Jesus was born into a family, just as you and I were. He comes to let us know we are not alone in this life. He loves you; he KNOWS you intimately. I encourage you during this Christmas time to think about your relationship with Jesus. How might the members of the Holy Family help you in your position in your own family? I believe a big theme this Advent has been to “trust in God”. When we trust in God, it is easier to say a profound “yes” to what His Will is for us.

    As we finish out the New Year, may God watch over you and your family. May He protect you and bless you always.
