From the Pastor's Desk...
It is hard to believe, partly because we’ve had such beautiful warm weather for September, into October—but time is moving along. Thanksgiving is a little more than a month away. Our liturgical calendar will be changing as we begin the holy season of Advent. I hope that you take time to see the changing of times and seasons. God is at work when we take time to look for Him. Often, our liturgical seasons move along with our seasonal weather for us in this part of the world. We are blessed in so many good ways. Take time to pray every day. Maybe have a certain prayer place in your home. Be open to what God may be saying to you.
One of the important things we do as followers of Christ, is to listen and seek out the Will of God. God calls each of us to use our gifts and talents. Everyone has something to give. If we look at the 12 apostles, we can see they were quite a varied group of men! If we can look at who they are, we can see that Christ calls ALL of us to listen to God’s voice, discern His Will, and move forward with it.
I hope you have taken time to read the Pastoral Letter Bishop Hicks wrote entitled MAKE. Go to any social media for the diocese, look for the QR code, click on it, and you will see MAKE. I hope it will encourage you to see the inner disciple in you.
Peace…….Fr. Jeff
