From the Pastor's Desk - 11/9/2025

Here we are in November. The mild October weather has surprised us, and we now realize it is later than we think. In the month of November we remember those who have died. We give thanks to God for the blessings He has given to our loved ones in this life. We remember our relationship with them, and now we pray that they rest in eternal peace. I hope that your faith gives you comfort at difficult times, especially at the time of a tremendous loss. Between our 2 parishes, we have many funerals every year. May God grant them all eternal healing, rest and peace.
Some people have been asking if there is an update on the merger between our 2 parishes of Christ the King and Ascension. So far, the only update received was a letter dated September 2nd. It was basically an acknowledgement that all the paperwork to change the merger has been received. When more information becomes available, I will let you know. In the meantime, I encourage you to pray that we may do God’s will, and that we do it well.
Thank you for your prayers and support. They have made a good difference. At this time of waiting, we know that God is present. He gives each of us grace and guidance.
