From the Pastor's Desk...
Thank you for coming to mass last weekend as we celebrated Easter. Your presence made good things happen. Together, we prayed, heard the Word proclaimed and received the Body of Christ. Without you, mass would not be the same. We must remember that we are called to worship together on Sunday—the focal point of who we are as followers of Jesus Christ. May God watch over you, protect and bless you as we now journey for 50 days in this Easter Season.
This weekend, the weekend after Easter, is now known in our Church as Divine Mercy Sunday. We remember the love and mercy that comes from Jesus. He gives of himself so that we might understand the love and mercy that God our Father has for each one of us. I hope you use Divine Mercy Sunday to deepen your relationship with Jesus, remembering how he suffered on the cross. He pours out his love and mercy. All we have to do is honestly ask for it, and Jesus will be there for us. Think about what it is that you may need some help with. Is it guidance? Is it forgiveness. Is it frustration on something? Take time to reflect where you would like the grace of Christ to help you heal and move on.
Thursday we begin the month of May with the memorial of St. Joseph the Worker. May he help us in our daily tasks.
Peace………Fr. Jeff
