From the Pastor's Desk...
June is busting out all over! June is here, and so is Summer. May God bless you with many good Memories of Summer ’25. We are blessed to live in a part of the world where we have all 4 seasons. May you see the presence of God in all of the natural cycles we experience. Many of these also flow with our liturgical calendar.
This weekend is a most special time for all of us. It is Pentecost Sunday. The conclusion to the 50 days of Easter, and Jesus does something important, good, and holy; he gives us the Holy Spirit. Imagine the apostles in that upper room who are afraid of all the commotion going on about Jesus. Did he die? Did he actually rise from the dead? These, and other questions are what the talk of the town is all about. They are afraid. Jesus appears to them, and calms them down, letting them know the Holy Spirit is with them always. May we keep the Holy Spirit before us. This is a gift not only to the apostles, but for each one of us.
Next weekend we are looking at the Trinity, and then Corpus Christi following that. We are truly blessed with the tools our church gives to us.
