From the Pastor's Desk - 5/4/2025

   A month from now, on Sunday, June 1, at the noon mass, please join me in celebrating a Mass of Thanksgiving for my 35th Anniversary of Priesthood. I was ordained on June 2, 1990, by Bishop Imesch at our cathedral in Joliet. I have loved being a priest! It has been such a beautiful blessing. Every day is a celebration of some sort. And YOU are the reason why. It is such a privilege to be part of your life. I think back on so many memories of the people that I have met, and feel a deep sense of gratitude that I have been part of so many lives. Much comes to mind especially when I think of weddings, funerals, beautiful occasions such as the many Easter and Christmas times. People; families and individuals, gather for important occasions in Church. I am very thankful for all who have been part of my life as a priest. After the Mass of Thanksgiving, we will have a light reception in the Parish Hall.

    We are in the month of May! This past Thursday we remembered St. Joseph The Worker. May he watch over and help each of us in the work we do. This is also a month dedicated to the Blessed Mother. May Mary, Mother of God, watch over and protect us; may she give us the guidance we need.
