From the Pastor's Desk - 6/22/2025

    This weekend you are invited into the Parish Hall after mass to extend Best Wishes to our parish secretary, Carol Clishem. Carol is retiring after working here at Christ the King for 19 years. Many have come to know her at the time of planning a funeral liturgy for a loved one, or requesting a sacramental record. Carol has seen many changes here at the parish through the many years, and we thank her for her loyal, faithful service.

     Next weekend is our last weekend with a long-time schedule on Sundays. With the work in progress for the upcoming merger between Christ the King and Ascension, things will soon be changing. Although the merger is on a pause, or a hold, as an appeal has been filed by some parishioners of Ascension, the reality is Fr. Jose will soon be moving to a new assignment. July 1, Fr. Jose, pastor at Ascension, will be moving out of the rectory to Resurrection Parish in Wayne. I will maintain pastorship here while becoming Administrator at Ascension. This puts many things on a “hold” at both parishes.

     Beginning July 6, the Sunday morning schedule is 8:00 & 11:00. There will be a 9:30 mass at Ascension, and all are invited to attend. Likewise, the parishioners at Ascension are invited to our Sunday masses as well. We combined our 10 & 12 into the 11. We combined their 8 & 10 into 9:30. Thank you for your patience and understanding at this time.
